Persecuted and banished: The radical women's rights activists ANITA AUGSPURG and LIDA GUSTAVA HEYMANN fought not only in the women's suffrage movement, but also in the women's peace movement. They were persecuted for that reason during the first world war. They were later forced into exile by the Nazis.
