Entrance to Chinatown in Boston, Mass.
The large Chinese characters say ``Welcome to All People.'' I got a lot of attention from a wide range of people, mostly Chinese, while doing this. They were very friendly for the most part and complimented me on how well I had rendered the characters.
The Boston Public Library has a fair collection of movies from Taiwan and the People's Republic of China and I have viewed many of them. Some of the more action-oriented videos I found I could get something out of even without subtitles. Fortunately many came with subtitles. As a rule, the BPL purchases only tapes which aren't available in video stores. The tapes I watched had been donated. Unfortunately, one of the tapes was Part 1 of 2 or something like that and the library didn't have the other part. The librarian suggested I try to find the missing part in a video store in Chinatown. I didn't have much luck, but I did get a nice picture.
