Western Avenue Bridge
The Cambridge Electric Light Co.'s generating station is in the background. The brown streak in front of me was a jogging path. Although many people chose to go behind me, a particularly attractive woman in a tight jogging outfit trotted along it as I was getting ready to leave. One woman stopped to ask if I sold my work and I said no. I'm beginning to accommodate myself to respond to these inquiries more positively. In any case she was very complimentary about my drawing, and I think such attention helps my drawings.
It was a very windy day and I felt very tired fighting it by the end of the day. The older artist I had met while doing the John Wingate Weeks Footbridge dropped by again and we chatted. He had just bought some new brushes and waxed eloquent about what a spiritual experience doing watercolors was.
