View Out My Back Windows
This is what the view out my back windows looks like if I look towards the left. Winter landscapes are much easier to do in the convenience of one's livingroom. The wood pile is material I rescued when the old boardwalk and bridge in Fredonian Park were torn out. It has since gone into new structures which aid in the crossing of various wet areas in Fredonian Park.
That white structure in the left foreground is an old metal shed. The sound of acorns dropping on it, along with the dog next door that howls at selected trains going by, and the sound of the trains themselves, lend acoustic interest to the backyard. The green hemlocks and most of the other trees are growing on a steep bank which goes down to Fredonian Park. The houses in the background are along Fredonian Street which is on the other side of Fredonian Park from where I am. See the Fredonian Park Gazebo drawing for more on the history of Fredonian Park.
